For nearly 9 decades we been obsessed trying to catapult ourselves away, including brain tissue, neural apparel and muscular tissue. It has been said to me that the average temperature of most of deep space is near absolute zero. The problem with freezing sperm and/or flash memory cards, is, to my view, neglectable compared to the frying effects of cosmic ray activity. We are again in a situation where natures reasonable approach wins: flash cards can't even stand for 20 years in a protected environment as earth, let alone travel the centuries necessary to engage with OC's. While frozen sperm is viable for at least 5000 years ( once the shielding properties of new light weight composite materials are develloped, to obviate the radiation effect).
